Accelerator TMTM Tetramethyl thiuram monosulfide SPECIFICATION: Appearance: Yellow powder (granule) Initial M.P.: 104.0 °C Min. Loss on drying: 0.40% Max. Ash: 0.40% Max. Residues on 150μm sieve: 0.50% Max. Oil content: 0; 1.0--2.0% Granule Diameter: 1.0 3.0mm PROPERTIES: No odor or taste. Specific gravity: 1.37--1.40. Soluble in chloroform, acetone, benzene, toluene, carbon disulfate; Insoluble in water and gasoline. APPLICATION: Generally used as a secondary accelerator or as a booster for sulphenamides to achieve faster cure rate. Distinguished by very good processing safety in comparison with other thiurams, high curing activity and no discoloration. Will not produce cures in the absence of added elemental sulphur. An excellent accelerator for polychloroprene in association withAccelerator DPG and Sulphur. STORAGE: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. The recommended max storage life is 2 years when stored under normal conditions.
